Hello again!
Today is all about tackling review books for the ACT. Which are the best? The worst?
Here's the scoop on major publishers' books.
The Real Act by the actual makers of the ACT is good exposure to realistic practice tests, but it doesn't cover much else other than the format of the test.
Kaplan produced arguably one of the best ACT review books on the market. It is easy to follow and is very thorough and presents great strategies.
Princeton Review covers basic techniques and not much of the test basics. It is better for students who have already taken the test and are looking to improve their score.
Barron's ACT review book has excellent content for high-achieving students and covers both strategies and basics. Well-recommended for students looking to achieve a 36. However, it does not contain practice tests.
McGraw Hill has a book that is very easy to follow and covers every aspect of the test you could imagine, including test-taking strategies. It is arguably the most well-rounded review book on the market.
Best of luck, and happy purchasing!
