Hello again:
It's time to cover the final SAT section--writing! Here are a few tips to help you boost your score.
1. Write eloquently. Graders instantly recognize a good flow.
2. Don't use "fancy" words if you can't define them. In other words, do not use a word that has nuances that you will use incorrectly.
3. Read sample essays to use as guidelines.
4. Be a grammar fiend.
5. Learn to write neatly under pressure. This requires physical practice.
6. Time yourself when practicing. This of course implies that YOU MUST PRACTICE (though I'm sure that you already know that).
7. Go back to your practice essays and revise them the day after you write them. It will better help you find your common mistakes.
8. Ask others to revise your practice essays.
Use these tips, and I hope you will see a higher score!
