Dear Senior,
As criticized as it is, the SAT and ACT are two of the most important aspects of your education. While a 2400 no longer guarantees acceptance to a highly selective school, it provides colleges with insight on your test-taking skills, your critical thinking skills, and your consistency. A high SAT score but low grades won't do much good for you. High grades but a low SAT score means a lack of consistency, which can be concerning to colleges. So if you are even the LEAST bit unconfident with your score, take the test again! After all, that gives you another chance to SuperScore. The only time this may backfire is when the school you apply to requires you submit ALL your scores (like Georgetown University). Thus you would need to study, and a busy senior, you may not have this time. However, if that is NOT a requirement, take the SAT.
What's the worst that could happen?
Best of luck,
