Hello Junior!
Yes, that was addressed properly. Wait, what?! Why am I now advising juniors?
Well, as many of you might know, colleges have already begun sending admission (and, unfortunately, rejection) letters. At this point, seniors don't really need my help! So why am I maintaining this portion of the website? Because I have more tips! In fact, let's get onto today's tip!
As a junior, you have without a doubt heard of the importance of ACT and SAT testing. You can take these now or senior year, but which is better? Well, I'll repeat the advice my high school counselor always does:
You are smartest at the end of your junior year in high school.
I'll repeat, in bold, just to emphasize the importance of this statement.
You are smartest at the end of your junior year in high school.
So when should you take your ACT (plus writing! If you don't know why, read tomorrow's tip!) and SAT? If you can't answer this question, please read the bolded statement above exactly 21 more times.
Take them NOW!
At the bottom of this page is the link to the ACT and SAT registration pages (offered by two DIFFERENT companies). You don't want to be stressed about getting high test scores midst all of the rest of the application process chaos; have scores from junior year that you are proud of and are ready to send. So take them now! This includes Subject Tests! One piece of advice that I'll never forget is, "Don't wait until senior year to take your tests. Get them all done junior year."
It's excellent advice; follow it!
Go register (if you haven't already)! It's getting late, as there are only 2 more ACT and SAT dates (each) this schoolyear!
