Hello Senior:
Read? What? Who has time for that? Other than Madame Bovary? Yes, other than IB English texts. You need to pick up a good book, and sit down (or stand up or walk around) and read it. Why?
1. It's relaxing. YES. RELAXATION IS IMPORTANT.
2. It is educating. Reading Walt Whitman is in no way unproductive! In fact, sometimes reading an impressive piece of literature is more educating than spending 8 hours at school.
3. You might learn a few new vocabulary words. (I shouldn't have to explain why this is good...)
4. You might pick up a few creative essay ideas, for applications or for class!
Four is my lucky number, so I'll stop there. But the list goes on. There are a wealth of reasons why you should stop for 20 minutes, pick up a book, and READ! So stop reading this, and go read some Dostoyevsky!
Good reads,

(By the way: Yes, this was inspired by last night's reading of Leaves of Grass.)
