Dear Senior,
Have you ever been disappointed with a test score? If so, keep reading.
Wow, you're still reading?! That surprises ABSOLUTELY NO ONE. That is because we are all human and cannot always be held to perfect standards. There are no super humans (yet); no one achieves perfection in all they do.
So it is important to recognize (especially in times of great stress, like those now) that you are not the only student who is not perfect. So if you get an SAT score or an AP score or an ACT score that is not what you had hoped, you must accept it and not sob hysterically (like I have done many a time). After all, many of these tests cannot be retaken. And if they cannot be, it is important to realize that a student like you has many other credentials that can offset this flaw.
So remember not to beat yourself up. Good luck with the rest of your applications if you are still completing them; if you are done, HIGH FIVE!
Best,
