I'm sure you think that it is very important to be involved in extracurricular activities to show time management and other skills to colleges. However, I recommend that you only join clubs and activities you enjoy. Otherwise, you are wasting your time. Colleges care to see that you took part in what you enjoyed, not just that you took part in everything. That is just as effective as doing nothing sometimes! If you want to be an orthopedic surgeon, you do not need to join Engineering Club.
